The Morgan Corporation’s history goes back to 1946, when Morgan J. Cragin III began selling broach cutting tools for his uncle’s business. That early venture, known as Custom Cutting Tools, Inc., laid the foundation for everything the company has built since.
In 1979, the next generation took the company in a new direction — rebranding as The Morgan Corporation and expanding beyond cutting tools into complete manufacturing solutions. That shift marked the beginning of the company’s role as a full-fledged manufacturing sales representative firm, connecting industrial manufacturers with the equipment and technology suppliers they need to compete.
Through the decades, the company’s core philosophy hasn’t changed: help manufacturing and engineering companies increase productivity and profitability through strategic, long-term supplier partnerships.
The Morgan Corporation was never built to be a transactional equipment vendor. From the beginning, the goal has been to act as a genuine problem-solving partner inside our customers’ manufacturing environments — understanding their production challenges well enough to recommend the right supplier and technology, not just the most convenient one.
That approach is reflected directly in how the company describes its own legacy: a professional sales representative firm that helps customers maximize profitability and increase productivity through strategic manufacturing partnerships.
